Buttons

This template includes buttons that let you quickly add new posts to the Content DB. These buttons are set up to run 2 steps:

  1. Create a new page/post in the Content DB with the correct post template applied.
  2. Open the new page you just created in center peek view (side peek and full page are also available).

Buttons are completely customizable and let you perform a variety of multi-step actions with just one click — from creating new pages, editing pages in bulk, opening pages/links, showing confirmation messages, running an action in another app, and more. Check out what’s possible with buttons below!

To create a new button, simply type / on your keyboard anywhere in your Notion workspace, then type button and select it from the pop-up menu. (You can also add Button properties to your databases!)

To edit a button, hover to the right of it and click the gear icon.

Database Automations

This template includes 1 simple database automation that automatically changes the Status property of a post to “Published” when you tick the “Published?” checkbox. Try it out in the table below! (The Status field may take a moment to update.)

To create your own automations, hover over the table below, then click the blue lightning symbol in the toolbar on the right. From here, you can edit and add as many automations as you like. Notion offers tons of automations with third-party apps, so feel free to experiment!
